Most of the time the problem is not that the body doesn’t have enough; it’s that the body is not absorbing it efficiently. You must have ample stomach acid to absorb iron properly. Symptoms of iron deficiency are you being tired a lot, muscle weakness, dry hair and other things. Having the proper amount helps strengthen the immune system, creates blood, heals wounds, and keeps hair young and much more. Too much iron can be toxic to the body.

Iron is very toxic in large amounts. In just three to four days, toxic levels of iron can cause death. In a severe overdose, iron quickly destroys the lining of the intestinal tract. It may lead to perforations of the intestine. Free iron ions in the bloodstream destroy the lining of the blood vessels, endothelium. This leads to irreversible shock. Too much iron can also cause severe liver damage. Coffee and tea, due to tannins, taken with meals blocks iron absorption.
The aims of the studies were as follows: To study the effect of small phenolic compounds with different hydroxylation patterns, gallic acid, catechin, chlorogenic acid, on iron absorption, To study the effect of different amounts of a hydrolysable tannin containing ten gallic acid residues, tannic acid, on iron absorption. To study the degree of inhibition of iron absorption by some foods and beverages, oregano, spinach, coffee and tea, in relation to their respective content of iron-binding phenolic groups, measured by a newly developed method. The inhibition of iron absorption by tannic acid was strongly dose-related.

One study has shown that tea consumption may reduce iron absorption by as much as 60% and coffee reduces its uptake by 50%. The tannins in both tea and coffee adversely affect iron availability, which could lead to iron deficiency anemia.

Calcium blocks iron absorption Caseins from milk and certain forms of calcium inhibit iron absorption. Calcium makes it harder for your body to absorb either supplemental iron or iron from food, according to the National Institutes of Health. Calcium competes for absorption with iron in your intestines and reduces its uptake. Low stomach acid is one cause of low iron.

Malabsorption of iron is common after some forms of gastrointestinal surgeries.

Synthetic ascorbic acid, commercial “vitamin C”, depletes iron, while herbal vitamin C helps absorption.

Synthetic ascorbic acid does not have the same biological properties and therefore benefits as true vitamin C found for example in fruits, berries, vegetables and many other natural sources. Here are just a few ways in which supplemental vitamin C can bring adverse health consequences. • Reacts with iron in "enriched" foods, causing neurological conditions.• Can cause thickening of the arteries. 🇺🇸USA - Biden revokes religious exemption for foster care agencies that don’t assist gay couples

'These outrages are the latest in a long line of attacks on religious freedom that began the day Biden took office and likely will not end until he and his radical HHS Secretary no longer have the reins of power.'

WASHINGTON, D.C. (LifeSiteNews) – The Biden administration has pulled religious liberty protections that allowed foster care agencies to ensure children were placed with both a foster mom and a foster dad, not a same-sex couple.

On November 18, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced they have revoked from federally funded foster care agencies religious protections put in place by the Trump administration in 2017. Most notably, they removed the blanket protection that foster care agencies can refuse the placement of children to same-sex couples as it would be a grievous violation of their religious beliefs.

“HHS through ACF [Administration for Children and Families] and OCR [Office for Civil Rights] reestablished its commitment to furthering non-discrimination and upholding the law by rescinding inappropriate, overly broad waivers issued by the prior Administration,” stated the press release.

“Today, HHS reaffirms its important commitment to core American values: HHS will not condone the blanket use of religious exemptions against any person or blank checks to allow discrimination against any persons, importantly including LGBTQ+ persons in taxpayer-funded programs,” the HHS added.

In 2017, the HHS under then-President Donald Trump, had issued a “Notice of Nonenforcement” to three states – South Carolina, Texas, and Michigan – along with certain child welfare agencies in those states, waiving non-discrimination requirements based on religious objections.

While the Biden-led HHS states they will deal with religious objections on a “case-by-case” basis, Roger Severino, who led OCR under Trump and who currently serves as a senior fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center, told Fox News that the “HHS [has] gratuitously stripped its Office for Civil Rights of the power to accept religious freedom complaints, leaving people with no other option but to sue when HHS inevitably tramples on their rights for lack of any internal checks.”

“These outrages are the latest in a long line of attacks on religious freedom that began the day Biden took office and likely will not end until he and his radical HHS Secretary no longer have the reins of power,” Severino stated.

Despite attacks on religious freedom by the Biden administration, courts have still generally ruled in favor of protecting faith-based organizations’ First Amendment rights.

In June, the Supreme Court voted 9-0 in favor of Catholic Social Services (CSS) after the City of Philadelphia ended their contract because they would not place foster children with same-sex couples.

In the ruling, Chief Justice John Roberts wrote that “CSS seeks only an accommodation that will allow it to continue serving the children of Philadelphia in a manner consistent with its religious beliefs; it does not seek to impose those beliefs on anyone else,” adding that the city’s ban on CSS “violates the First Amendment.”

If outsiders think the public schools are not teaching that white people create all of the world's problems and that capitalism is white supremacy, think again, says whistleblower Tony Kinnett.

INDIANAPOLIS (LifeSiteNews) — Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) placed a whistleblower on leave after he publicly explained how his employer teaches critical race theory while claiming the opposite.

“As of one hour ago, Indianapolis Public Schools has suspended my access to email & Google Drive,” Tony Kinnett wrote November 24 on Twitter. He works as the district science coordinator and instructional coach. Kinnett also founded the right-leaning education website Chalkboard Review.

“I’ve been required to work from home the last two weeks, as staff reportedly have ‘clinical anxiety’ over working with me,” Kinnett said. “When I came to get books from my office, phone calls were made to each team member so they’d be clear of the building.”

He said he has provided the files, which he said are public documents, to journalist Christopher Rufo. “In HR meetings, I was informed that it was ‘irrelevant’ that the information I released was public and stored on public server,” Kinnett said. “(I have yet to release anything private) I am currently banned from going to any IPS school building or hosting any professional developments.”

LifeSiteNews contacted the human resources office for Indianapolis Public Schools and interim curriculum director Jessica Dunn but did not receive a response to a Monday afternoon email.

LifeSiteNews asked for an update on Kinnett’s status and what he was being investigated for, if anything.

IPS officials placed him on leave after Kinnett posted a video explaining how the district teaches critical race theory.

“I see exactly what we’re teaching our students,” Kinnett said in his November 4 video. “When we tell you that schools aren’t teaching critical race theory, that it’s nowhere in our standards, that’s misdirection.”

“We do have critical race theory in how we teach,” Kinnett said. He said that teachers tell students that “white men” are responsible for all problems. He said students are told to treat students differently based on color and to teach that capitalism is a “tool of white supremacy.”

CRT is used in IPS’ curriculum for “math, history, science, English, the arts and it’s not slowing down,” the teacher said.

“When schools tell you that we aren’t teaching critical race theory, it means one thing: Go away and look into our affairs no further,” Kinnett said. “We call it anti-racism so you feel bad if you disagree with our segregationist pedagogy.”

“We’re lying,” Kinnett said when schools deny that CRT is not taught. “Keep looking.”

CRT became a central issue in the 2021 Virginia governor’s race and helped moderate Republican Glenn Youngkin win. His opponent, Terry McAuliffe, had said he did not want parents involved in what schools taught.

“I believe parents should be in charge of their kids’ education,” Youngkin said during a September debate.
