Russia to separate itself from the World Health Organisation?

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has sent a list of global organisations to the State Duma with the recommendation that Russia withdraws from all international agreements and collaboration with them.

Amongst them is the World Health Organisation.

Pyotr Tolstoy, Vice Speaker of the State Duma, told the Russian news agency Interfax that "there is work to be done to revise our international obligations and treaties which today are no longer beneficial but directly damage our country."

In April 2020 at the start of the international COVID crisis the Italian Catholic association Vicit Leo brought to the world's attention, with a dedicated press conference in Rome advertised as 'The W.H.O. Must be Destroyed', the fact that "the crisis originated from the modus operandi of the World Health Organization."
