The iOS Push Optimization Package has been updated and is now available for public beta testing on Testflight: https://testflight.apple.com/join/e1v9O7jC

Optimization 1:

When users receive a "blank push notification" (used to update the unread message count) from other client apps, there is no screen activation or sound, making it almost imperceptible to the user. The user will only see the blank push notification in the system control panel when they actively pull down the panel or when the screen is activated/unlocked.

This optimization applies to users on iOS 15 and above.

This optimization addresses a specific scenario: when the user has received a valid push notification over a period of time, and then triggers a blank message by viewing unread messages on another device, the blank message will not activate the screen.

Another scenario: when the user's other devices open a group chat and trigger real-time read receipts, it will also activate the screen on the iOS device in sleep mode; this is native Telegram behavior, and blank push notifications do not occur in this scenario, making it less noticeable to the user.

This optimization does not cover this latter scenario.

Optimization 2:

When a new "You have a new message" notification is received, the existing "You have a new message" notification in the notification center will be cleared. This ensures that the user only sees one "You have a new message" notification in the notification bar, instead of an accumulated stack of notifications as before.
