Whilst it will be very easy for many to cheer this, and I understand the anger about sex offenders and the awful crimes they commit, we are crossing a line here on body autonomy and it will come back to haunt us all, in ways people cannot yet perceive

Once we descend as a society into things like this, they become normalised and rolled out in all sorts of circumstances

Supporting this policy is the first step in setting a precedent for state intervention in bodily autonomy for everyone

Ps it will never be used on "elite offenders" either!

The only thing anyone should ever ask about things such as the above 👆is "how could this somehow be turned against me in the future"?

Many of us, myself and UK Column included, have repeatedly tried to inform people how the law is used as a weapon. It really hurts that some people still don't seem to understand this

The above is a naked attempt to nudge everyone into thinking the state has a right to force medical interventions

Imagine if the state had had this sort of power during 2020

It starts with "offenders" and it moves onto applying to the masses. It's how these things always go

And finally (Wednesday’s entry)…

The Ministry of Defence has invented underwater glue—because when you're out of ideas and depth, why not try arts and crafts at the bottom of the sea? At a time when we're spending billions on war in Ukraine, hyping threats from Iran and struggling to fund basic services at home.

On the plus side, maybe they can finally glue Nord Stream 2 back together now?
