NEW UK Column feature announcement: - https://fcdospending.ukcolumn.org/

- The UK Foreign Office Spending Data

The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office publishes updates on all spending over £25,000. But, similar to the MHRA’s Covid-19 Yellow Card data, the FCDO provides this information in an inconvenient format, making it difficult for the general public to process and understand. So we have made this site to help resolve this issue. We are asking for your help to find out what the money is being spent on.
Please share this to Twitter and Facebook or anywhere that you can.
We will update this site as soon as new data becomes available.

Introducing UK Column’s new feature, which the Foreign Office brought upon itself by repeatedly treating Mike Robinson as a bothersome little pleb.

Mike has done his data back-ending, as honed with the MHRA’s Yellow Card data, and the public is now warmly welcomed to interrogate this site to find out how much of your dosh was given by the Foreign Office to each major recipient per month.

Ask the Foreign Office in your own Freedom of Information request why they gave X amount to entity Y in month Z, why the project was not specified, what it was specifically for, and why it spiked at odd times (much of the surging happening as the Ukraine war broke out in February-March).

Kindly let UK Column know the responses you receive.

Persist all the way through the internal appeal stages to the Information Commissioner if necessary.

They ignored Mike; they can't ignore thousands of Mikes.

What is the FCDO spending money on?
Some time ago, we launched our Yellow Card reports website in an effort to highlight how unacceptably bad the MHRA's reporting of Covid-19 vaccine adverse reactions was, and is. That site has become an invaluable resource to many researchers, campaigners and reporters.

As we find ourselves embroiled in yet another unjustifiable war, and since the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office is just as bad at transparency and full disclosure as MHRA, we decided to build a similar front-end to their 'transparency' data: all spending over £25,000.

We launched that site on yesterday's UK Column News, and you can visit it here:

https://fcdospending.ukcolumn.org/

We would like to invite as many of you as possible to:

visit the site, promote it on as many channels as you have access to.
Investigate the organisations receiving money from FCDO and make one or more freedom of information requests to FCDO
join the FCDO spending group on the community website and post your research there.
As an example, we have now had the first freedom of information request to FCDO made based on research done via the new site. You can view that request here:

https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/payments_to_torchlight_solutions

Please join us in lifting the lid on what this government is doing abroad.
