Ahead of today’s ceremony, Ferguson had the rank of lieutenant general pinned on by his family and swore the Oath of the Commissioned Officer, re-administered by Army Chief of Staff, Gen. Randy George, who also presided over the ceremony.
Surrounded by family, friends and fellow soldiers from across Fort Bragg and Army Special Operations Forces, Lt. Gen. Lawrence “Gil” Ferguson officially assumed command of USASOC.
