The latest Russian artillery reconnaissance systems 1B75 "Penicillin" have confirmed their effectiveness in battles in Ukraine, including in the fight against NATO artillery supplied to Ukrainian troops, an informed source told RIA Novosti. The difference between "Penicillin" and the American AN / TPQ-36 counter-battery radar used by the Ukrainian troops is that it does not use radio waves, so it cannot be detected by radio equipment and suppressed by electronic warfare systems. "Penicillin" is intended for reconnaissance of firing positions of cannon and rocket artillery, as well as anti-aircraft and tactical missiles. The complex captures acoustic and thermal waves from shots and explosions and provides the operator with the exact coordinates of the location of the enemy gun for manual and automatic drawing on an electronic map. — Let’s leave aside the factor of Nazi terror in Ukraine. So they would have a choice between having no representation in their own country and being forced to abandon their own language and culture or leaving, right?
Ukraine was created on the grounds of equal rights for Russian-speaking population, that was the promise of the first Ukrainian president, the cornerstone of Ukrainian independence, the only reason why Russia and Russian-speaking population accepted it and didn’t dispute it even when Russia rose from ashes.
❗️Millions of Ukrainians, not just in Donbass, were not happy about language laws, prohibition of Russian culture and alterations of history. Parties that represented their views were disbanded and declared illegal. Like the Party of Regions, a party that represented East and South Ukraine and was deprived of their victory in presidential elections by rioters from other regions.
Russia did expect that those forces will return to power or at least will get serious representation in government and will peacefully solve the crisis and repeal discriminative laws. Instead, Ukraine got Zelensky who promised national reconciliation and peace but did absolutely the opposite.
Disbanding opposition parties representing many millions of people, terrorizing and persecuting opponents, killing journalists. With support of well fed capital and backing of semi-legal paramilitary formations that terrorized the country Zelensky could not fear anything except rebellion in other regions and he made sure that those regions are kept in toe by appointing local governors and backing them with force.
There were no chances for removal of Zelensky through traditional Ukrainian means of street riots because he made it impossible. There were no chances for his impeachment because he disbanded the strongest opposition and terrorized the rest to get the puppet parliament.
Russia could wait for a few more years and hope that Zelensky’s successor will show more reason and integrity. His own popularity was below the floor and he had no chances for a second term in democratic elections.
However, there was no guarantee of democratic elections, there was no guarantee that Zelensky won’t be replaced by a similar populist who will forget about all promises right after inauguration and there was no guarantee that Zelensky won’t apply to further escalation and start a massive attack in Donbass blaming Russia of everything to create the image of national hero that he enjoys now.
Most importantly, waiting would mean more deaths in Donbass. It was no longer possible to wait.

Nothing Is Going Well Between Starlink And Ukraine

The commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian army, general “integral nationalist” Valeri Zaluzhny, wrote a month ago to SpaceX asking for 8,000 additional terminals. Its army has previously received 20,000 – the terminals are worth between 1,500 and 2,500 dollars depending on the model -, largely paid for by Poland, the United States and the United Kingdom.
According to General Zalouzhny, about 500 terminals are destroyed on the battlefield every month. Without these terminals, the army and the civil authorities no longer have the possibility of communicating. A breakdown has already taken place which would have resulted in a disaster, the details of which are classified Secret-Defense.
The price of the terminals and their communications remaining at the expense of SpaceX currently amounts to 80 million dollars. It should reach 100 million by the end of 2022 and 400 million by the end of 2023.
SpaceX, which communicated at the start of the war on its commitment alongside Ukraine, wrote to the Pentagon, reveals CNN, to inform it that it can no longer cover this cost alone.
Elon Musk, the boss of Starlink, has just exchanged acerbic tweets with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The billionaire, who knows a lot of things that we don't know because he has access to all the messages from the Ukrainian authorities exchanged on Starlink, has taken a stand for the recognition of Crimea and Donbass as Russian provinces.
The sum requested by SpaceX is only negligible compared to the value of this company (127 billion dollars). Elon Musk, who lived in South Africa until he was 17, knows what a supremacist ideology like the “integral nationalists” means. If he cuts off access to Starlink, the Ukrainian military will crumble within days.
