#YURI WEEKLY REPORT Missile strike on the ukrainian infrastructure was rather a warning and a test for the Ukrainian air defences that fared quite miserably. Apparently, for now Moscow does not have plans to disable the energetic infrastructure of Ukraine completely, but such plans may well arise later. Also, a number of air defense systems were transferred to the rear, opening a possibility for the aggressive actions of the Russian airforce on the front lines.

Kherson: first serious Ukrainian attack, repelled with significant losses. Svatovo without serious enemy movement, on the contrary, they’ve missed a tactical Russian counter-offensive towards Krasni Liman. Donetsk/Adveyevka - after the Russian attack towards Pervomayskoye, the enemy withdrew to the last, third line of defense on Vodyanoye/Optytnoye. Bakhmut - Russian troops finally entered the town, but it is still contested in fierce battles.

#RussianFederation Territories:

▪️ During the day, the AFU shelled #Belgorod again. Most targets were intercepted by air defenses, but there were two explosions near #Belgorod airport. At least three civilians were injured.

#Starobelsk Direction:

▪️ In the #Kupyansk area, Ukrainian forces are engaged in positional fighting on the #Kislovka - #Pershotravnevoye line.

▪️ The artillery of the Russian Forces hit mobile groups of the 92nd AFU Brigade, which were preparing to advance to the front line near #Dvurechnoye. As a result, the enemy suffered significant losses and was forced to abandon its planned reconnaissance battle.

▪️ In the #Lyman - #Svatovo sector, Ukrainian formations are moving personnel and armoured vehicles to the #Torskoye - #Terny line.

#Soledar Direction:

▪️ There are no significant changes on the front line, the Wagner PMC troops are fighting fiercely in #Soledar and the south-eastern districts of #Bakhmut (#Artemovsk). The enemy regularly counterattacks in both towns. Artillery is working on the accumulations of Ukrainian formations.

▪️ Wagner PMC units continue to fight fiercely for #Opytnoye. In the north-east, neat vicinity of #Belogorovka, the front is held by units of the LPR People´s Militia.

#Donetsk Direction:

▪️ Ukrainian formations once again shelled the civilian infrastructure of the #Donetsk agglomeration, including the #Donetsk city administration building in Voroshilovsky district. There are casualties among the civilian population.

#Zaporozhye Direction:

▪️ Russian Forces continue to conduct positional fighting near #Vremyevka? and #Neskuchnoye. AFU units made two attempts to storm the heights west of the villages, but retreated both times with heavy loss

▪️ Russian Forces personnel engaged targets in #Zaporozhye and #Orekhov, as well as enemy concentrations along the entire line of contact.

#Nikolaev - #Berislav Direction on Southern Front (MAP):

▪️ In the #Berislav area, Ukrainian formations attempted an unsuccessful offensive against the Russian defences on the #Dudchany - #Mylovoye - #Novogrigorovka line on the morning of 15 October.

▪️ In the #Nikolaev sector, the AFU command continues regrouping troops for another offensive against the positions of the Russian Forces.

Ukrainian forces are forming two combat groups. One near #Bashtanka and the other in the #Prybugskoye and #Galitsynovo areas.

▪️ Ukrainian formations may launch a renewed offensive in the #Berislav and #Aleksandrovka areas in the near future. At the same time, the option of moving forces to the #Zaporozhye sector is not excluded.

▪️ Failures and significant losses of AFU units in this sector of the front have a negative impact on the moral and psychological state of soldiers and lead to reduction in the combat effectiveness of enemy forces.

The shareholders of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank on Friday selected Ukrainian Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko as the next rotating chair of the boards of governors of both institutions in 2023.

The decision, which was announced during the annual meetings of the IMF and World Bank in Washington, means that Marchenko will also chair next year's annual meeting of the institutions, which is scheduled to be held in Morocco.

Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the war's massive impact on the global economy have dominated this year's meetings, with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy urging international donors to provide $55 billion in additional funding next year to keep his country's economy running and fund some initial reconstruction.

World Bank President David Malpass told shareholders of both institutions on Friday that the World Bank Group had mobilized $13 billion in emergency funding for Ukraine since the war began
