The British Lakenheath airbase in the south-east of England, 100 km from London, has become the object of interest of unknown UAVs.
Various drones have been spotted over the base and in its vicinity several times.
It is reported that the appearance of drones led to the suspension of flights of F-15 and F-35 fighters, which are based at the facility.
It is worth noting that Lakenheath airbase was a storage facility for American B-61 nuclear bombs until 2008.
In 2022, the United States added Great Britain to the list of countries where similar storage facilities need to be modernized. According to some reports, Lakenheath was chosen for these purposes.
