Another good prophylactic move, stopping the trick on b4. White has a decisive advantage.

White to move
Simagin's move is, in Jussupow's terms, 'the real prophylactic thinking.' It stops ...a4 and at the same time, White improves his position.
1...Rdb8?
1...a4? 2.Bc4! This is the point! Amazing! 2...Qxc4 3.Bxf6 The bishop protects the rook on h4. 3...Qb5 4.Bxg7 Kxg7 5.hxg6 +-
2.hxg6 hxg6 3.Rdh1 a4 4.Bc4! Qa5 5.Qh6 +-

Black to move
Botvinnik knew that the resulting endgame was a draw, even without the h-pawn.
2.Nxd7+ Bxd7 3.Rxa5 Bxg4 4.Ke3 Be6
The only thing Black needs to take care off is to make sure the Bishop stays on this diagonal to control the important g6 and e6 squares.
5.Kf4 Bc4 6.Ra7 h5
Sooner or later, the pawn will end up falling.
7.Kg5 h4 8.Kxh4 Bb3 9.Kg5 Bc4
The only thing we need to do is to watch the b1-h7 diagonal. If the king arrives to g6, Black will give a check with the bishop!
10.Rc7 Ba2
Still a draw!

White to move
White develops a smart plan to play on the queenside, where he has a space advantage and is fighting against the a5-bishop which is a bit misplaced.
