At least 120 people - 100 of them police officers - have been injured in clashes during anti-government protests in Mexico City, police said.
Thousands of demonstrators marched in the Mexican capital on Saturday to protest against violent crime and President Claudia Sheinbaum's government.
Sheinbaum said the marches, which also took place in other cities, had been funded by right-wing politicians who oppose her government.

As abortion at any stage has now been effectively decriminalised, we are on a dark path. It needs to be - at the very least - reduced to 12 weeks to bring it inline with other European national norms.

Republican congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene says she's facing threats following a barrage of personal criticism from US President Donald Trump on social media.
She said security firms had been in contact "with warnings for my safety as a hotbed of threats against me are being fueled and egged on by the most powerful man in the world".
As a woman, I take threats from men seriously.
I now have a small understanding of the fear and pressure the women, who are victims of Jeffrey Epstein and his cabal, must feel."

Donald Trump blames low life expectancy in the east end of Glasgow on a poor economy and insisted North Sea could make Scotland rich.
He blamed wind farms for “destroying the country” while the “greatest oil and gas fields in the world” are not being used.
In response to reports average life expectancy in parts of Glasgow is just 57, Trump said: “You would think it would be the opposite. It’s so beautiful. The air is so good.
“You would think that you would live forever....at the same time, they have a hard life economically. You know, there’s not great economics there.”

Residents chanted 'Starmer out' as thousands attended a protest against plans to house 600 lone male asylum seekers at an army camp on the edge of their town.
Crowborough army training camp in East Sussex has been lined up to house the refugees as part of Labour's bid to reduce the use of asylum hotels.
Locals said they have already installed panic alarms in their homes amid safety fears, while raising concerns about the 600 migrants registering with GPs in the county, with some already struggling to book appointments.

Rachel Reeves 'is set to announce a milkshake tax'.
The Chancellor is believed to be gearing up to make sweeping changes to the Soft Drinks Industry Levy.
It is thought that Reeves will axe the exemption that currently stops milk-based and milk-substitute drinks from being eligible for the tax.

Very interesting development as Donald Trump refuses to disavow Tucker Carlson after interviewing Nick Fuentes, praising Carlson’s support of him, and saying he doesn’t know much about Fuentes. Trump further insisted Tucker is free to interview whoever, and Tucker should “get the word out.”

A rapist who has avoided being deported for more than a decade could receive compensation because an electronic tag made him 'depressed'.
Mustafa Taskiran may be granted compensation as lawyers engage in legal arguments over whether 'appropriate relief' should be given to the Turkish migrant.
A High Court judge, Mr Justice Lavender, ruled in his favour just days prior to the 48-year-old confessing to stalking and threatening to kill a woman with a knife.
Taskiran is expected to be sentenced this month.
He told the court that the tag caused him 'intense physical and mental distress' due to its heaviness and discomfort.
It comes after decades of crime - beginning four years after the Turkish man was granted indefinite leave to remain in the UK in 1994.
