Whilst it is David Lammy stamping the paper on the decision to scrap Jury trials he is only accepting recommendations of a review carried out by "Sir Brian Leveson".
In July, Sir Brian said "fundamental" reforms were needed to "reduce the risk of total system collapse".

Twelve ex-police officers would have faced gross misconduct cases over the Hillsborough disaster, a long-awaited report from the policing watchdog finds.
Ninety-seven Liverpool supporters were killed during a crush at the FA Cup semi-final at Sheffield Wednesday's Hillsborough ground on 15 April 1989.
The law at the time means no officers will face disciplinary proceedings because they had all retired before the probe began in 2012.

Russian President Vladimir Putin today warned he is ready for a war with Europe - as Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner arrived for peace talks in Moscow.
Ahead of a meeting with Kushner and US envoy Steve Witkoff, the Kremlin strongman also warned that defeat of European powers would be so absolute that there would be no one left to even negotiate a peace deal.
'We are not planning to go to war with Europe, but if Europe wants to and starts, we are ready right now,' he said.

If the justice system is on the verge of collapse, as they say, how come they can still jail people for twenty months over tweets yet let child rapists walk free?

The organisation that oversees girl guide groups in the UK has announced it is banning trans girls from joining.
Girlguiding said the move – which means it will not accept biological boys who identify as girls - was in response to the Supreme Court ruling earlier this year that said sex meant biological sex in equality law.
The trustees said they had made the "difficult decision" with a "heavy heart" and there would be further announcements on what this will mean for current members.

A grooming gangs inquiry in Scotland must be set up urgently, a leading child abuse expert who investigated English scandals has said.
Professor Alexis Jay, the leader of the Rotherham and child sex abuse inquiries in England, said too little was known about child sexual exploitation north of the border and that an investigation could lead to a full-blown public inquiry.
The intervention is likely to make the Scottish government’s ongoing refusal to order an independent investigation into the issue untenable.
The Scottish government has argued against the need for an inquiry into groups of men who abuse children and young people through coercion and manipulation, with Swinney telling first minister’s questions in September that he was not “persuaded of the necessity”. However, survivors have since come forward to speak out about their abuse at the hands of grooming gangs in Scotland.

In the UK you can rape a child and avoid prison.
You can be Huw Edwards and have a child porn stash and avoid prison.
Post spicy content on X, that the company has no problems with, you can get 20 months in prison.
This is way worse than supposedly 'tyranny's' like China etc.

'Judge' Tracey Lloyd Clarke gave a young man 20 MONTHS in prison for social media posts on X.
We are just doing some digging into her background and when she was a lawyer she was known as Tracey Norma Beatrice Lloyd-Nesling.
Is it common for people to change their names when they become a Judge?

Is anyone surprised that the UK Govt is collecting and analysing social media posts. If they are doing this already, imagine how much fun it's going to be with digital ID and digital currency

The Women's Institute is to stop accepting transgender women from April next year.
The decision has been taken 'with the utmost regret and sadness', the 110-year-old organisation said, adding that it retains the 'firm belief that transgender women are women'.
NFWI chief executive Melissa Green said: 'It is with the utmost regret and sadness that we must announce that from April 2026 we can no longer offer formal membership to transgender women.
'As an organisation that has proudly welcomed transgender women into our membership for more than 40 years, this is not something we would do unless we felt that we had no other choice.
'To be able to continue operating as the Women's Institute, a legally recognised women's organisation and charity, we must act in accordance with the Supreme Court's judgment and restrict formal membership to biological women only.
'However, this change is only in respect to our membership policy and does not change our firm belief that transgender women are women.'
