Child killer Jon Venables is set to have his latest bid for freedom heard by the Parole Board.
The now 43-year-old, who tortured and murdered two-year-old James Bulger in 1993 when he was only 10, will have his case heard by parole bosses at an oral hearing more than two years after his previous appeal.
In 2023, the Parole Board rejected Venables' bid, concluding he still posed a danger to children and could go on to reoffend.

Former London’s Burning and Grange Hill actor John Alford has been jailed for eight-and-a-half years after he was found guilty of sexually assaulting two teenage girls.
The 54-year-old was found guilty of four counts of sexual activity with the younger girl, aged 14, and charges of sexual assault and assault by penetration relating to the second teenager, aged 15, at a property in Hertfordshire in 2022.
Jurors heard during the trial that the defendant, charged under his real name, John Shannon, sexually assaulted the girls while they were drunk following a night out at the pub.

Kemi Badenoch announced that she had seen 'irrefutable evidence' that her former rival was intending to do the maximum damage possible.
'I have sacked Robert Jenrick from the Shadow Cabinet, removed the whip and suspended his party membership with immediate effect,' she said.
'I was presented with clear, irrefutable evidence that he was plotting in secret to defect in a way designed to be as damaging as possible to his Shadow Cabinet colleagues and the wider Conservative Party.
