Rupert Lowe issues statement on Epstein Files:

A man who laced sweets with tranquilliser and gave them to children at a summer camp before sexually assaulting them has admitted drugging his wife so she would not wake while the abuse took place.

Jon Ruben was arrested after eight children and one adult fell ill at Stathern Lodge in Stathern, Leicestershire, in July.

The 76-year-old, from Ruddington, Nottinghamshire, pleaded guilty to 17 charges at Leicester Crown Court.

Police in Norway have opened a corruption investigation into the country's former Prime Minister Thorbjørn Jagland over his alleged links to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

A special Norwegian police unit which is analysing newly released Epstein files in the US said the 75-year-old was suspected of "aggravated corruption".

Police said they had already asked the country's foreign ministry to lift his immunity, which he enjoys because of his past role as a senior foreign diplomat.

Jagland is also a former head of the Norwegian Nobel Committee and spent 10 years as secretary general of the Council of Europe.

Further to his address being visited in Camden, Peter Mandelson is said to be co-operating with Police and helped facilitate access to his other home in Wiltshire.
