Today’s Bible verse! I just love this verse & chapter in Proverbs. It teaches us that every decision we make in life is truly done by our hearts, not our minds. And that is why it is so important to guard & protect our hearts. Now how do we do that? The Bible tells us in Proverbs, we have to 𝘓𝘖𝘝𝘌 𝘎𝘖𝘋’𝘚 𝘞𝘖𝘙𝘋; and 𝘑𝘌𝘚𝘜𝘚 𝘐𝘚 𝘎𝘖𝘋’𝘚 𝘞𝘖𝘙𝘋, meaning the Gospel! It reminds me of the song my other half loves, “Less Like Me” — Zach Williams, where he describes being more like Jesus(mercy, grace, kindness, goodness, love, faith, patience, & peace). To me loving Jesus and trusting in God’s word is how we can guard & protect our hearts to ensure we’re making choices in life according to His will for our lives! Today’s Bible verse. This is a powerful chapter that teaches us how choosing between the wisdom of God or the or the lies of devil is a decision we all have to make individually. Do we choose the family of God, or do we choose sins that can never satisfy our thirst? This part of today’s devotional helped me to better understand His wisdom, “If we want to see things as they really are, we need a sight of our Savior, shedding His blood to wash away all our sins. To know what God has done for us in Christ is true wisdom….If fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, then the love of God is the eternal end of wisdom. Like we fear to displease those we love, we should fear to disappoint the One who loved us and gave Himself for us. To reject Him is to reject life.” Thank you Father for the wisdom you gave us in Christ. Today’s Bible verse! This verse for me confirms that we are to each seek and find our own personal relationships with God. They will each be different, some more difficult than others; But each will be tailored by the work God is doing in each of us as we build that relationship with Him. And even if we wander, or find ourselves not seeking Him, God will always provide opportunities for us to reconnect with Him. Sharing a quote that made me smile with joy, from today’s devotional, “Your connection with God is of the utmost importance. And the beauty of it is, it’s a connection that He desires to have with you, too. He longs to be in a vibrant and personal relationship with you.” How amazing is He!! Today was a glorious day for God, and I thank Him for the many blessings He gave us today! Let’s thank God for His goodness! Father God, nothing is impossible for You. You love us even when we’re unloveable. You are good to us even when we don’t deserve it. You are kind and compassionate toward us even when we mess up. You show us what faithful love looks like.
