• The Lord has brought a wonderful health advocacy group to Valiant in order to help him through this challenging time. Praise the Lord for answered prayers!

• Pray that the Lord will take care of ALL of Valiant's financial needs.

• Please continue to pray for Valiant's appointment with Dr. Perry tomorrow (10/19/22). Pray that the Holy Spirit will be so present as they meet to discuss next steps and that He will provide them with godly wisdom and discernment.

Angela W: Update #11 (Oct 19, 8:05 PM EDT)

Valiant received a wonderful word from the Lord as to how he and all of us should pray for him:
• Pray that Valiant's flesh would work in the hands of the surgeon as the clay would work in the hands of the Potter.

Also petition to the Lord on behalf of Valiant for the following:
• Pray that the health advocacy group would help fund Valiant's surgery even though his hospital is outside of their healthcare network.
• Pray that everything would work out and that there will be no obstacles standing in the way of his surgery. The surgery could be on Thursday (10/20/22) or Friday (10/21/22), or no later than next week.

Praying that Valiant and Rosana will be comforted and strengthened by Psalms 91:14-16:

14 "Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;

Angela W: Update #12 (Oct 20, 1:33 PM EDT)

Valiant will be admitted to the hospital at 3:00 PM today (10/20/22). Please cover him with your prayers.

Petition to the Lord on behalf of Valiant and Rosana:
• Pray that God's presence, peace and protection will be upon Valiant as he walks into the hospital.
• Pray that the admission process will be smooth and that all his paperwork will be in order.
• Pray that the doctors and nurses will be Christ's hands and feet to him.

He is expected to be in surgery on Friday (10/21/22). More details to follow.

Angela W: Update #13 (Oct 21, 7:28 AM EDT)

Valiant's surgery is scheduled for 3:45 PM today (10/21/22) unless someone cancels. The surgery would take about five hours. Dr. Perry will be doing the surgery and he has been taking really good care of Valiant. He is the best of the best in his field of expertise.

Please continue pray for Valiant in the way the Lord wants us to pray for him:
Pray that Valiant's flesh would work in the hands of the surgeon as the clay would work in the hands of the Potter.

Also petition to the Lord on behalf of Valiant for the following:
• Pray that the Lord would provide Dr. Perry with godly wisdom and anoint his hands to be the hands of Jesus in bringing healing to Valiant.
• Pray that the Spirit of God would grant Rosana peace and strength as she waits for Valiant's surgery to be over.
• May the peace and presence of the Lord be so thick in the operating room that everyone, including the doctors and nurses, knows that they are operating on someone who is very close and dear to the heart of God. May our Heavenly Father watch over Valiant like a loving father would his child.
• May all the medical equipment and instruments work efficiently and effectively.

As we gather together to pray for Valiant and Rosana, may our prayers and supplications bring honor and glory to the Lord. When we call upon Him, He will listen to us:
Jeremiah 29:12 (NKJV)
Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.

The Lord is about to do something incredible and marvelous for both Valiant and Rosana. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Angela W: Update #14 (Oct 21, 1:18 PM EDT) -- URGENT

Rosana just called to say that Valiant had just been taken into surgery. They brought his surgery forward. So please pray like you have never prayed before. Put of the full armor of God and do battle with and for Valiant and Rosana!

Pray that Valiant's flesh would work in the hands of the surgeon as the clay would work in the hands of the Potter.

Pray for God's anointing especially upon two doctors in the operating room right now:
• Dr. Perry – Surgeon
• Dr. Wong – Anesthesiologist

Before Valiant went into surgery, he asked me to send his love and gratitude to all of you.

Angela W: Update #15 (Oct 21, 6:44 PM EDT)

Great news!!! Valiant is out of surgery and is now in post-op as he is being monitored for any post-op complications.

Dr. Perry started with laparoscopic surgery but when he went in, he noticed that there were much more dead tissues than anticipated. He then had to cut him open to clean everything out. The surgery went really, really well! Praise the Lord!!! God is SO GOOD!!!

Once he gets the all clear, he will be moved to the recovery room. Hopefully, by about 9:00 PM, he should be back in his own room.

Thank you so much for all your prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and for being watchful and for persevering till the end (Eph 6:18). Rosana wants to convey her gratefulness towards everyone who prayed and stood by them.

There is so much to rejoice!

Please continue to pray that Valiant will recover well and that there would not be any post-op complications.

Angela W: Update #16 (Oct 21, 11:48 PM) -- URGENT

An hour after receiving good news from the surgeon, while Valiant was still in the recovery room, a nurse contacted Rosana informing her that Valiant was not doing well. He was and still is in a lot of pain.

Valiant has since been moved back to his room. It was heart wrenching for Rosana to watch him crying in pain. The medical staff could not give him anymore pain medication because his oxygen levels were dropping. The medication can only be given to him every two hours. He has drainage tubes coming out of his body everywhere including his nose. He is also shivering and on very strong antibiotics.

Please continue to pray for Valiant:
• Pray that the Lord would calm his body down after a very invasive surgery.
• Pray that he could sleep and rest throughout the night.
• Pray that his pain will lessen over time.
• Pray that the drainage from his surgical wounds would quicken the healing process.
• Most of all, pray that God's healing power will be upon him and that he would sense the peace and presence of God.

Angela W: Update #17 (Oct 22, 9:54 PM)

Thank you so much for your patience today. I wanted to wait for official word from Rosana before putting anything out.

From Rosana:
• Valiant's vitals were so much better today compared to last night’s.
• The nurses gave him an incorrect pain medication yesterday which led to a very excruciating and sleepless night for Valiant.
• He is currently on a pain pump with the correct pain medication and is feeling a bit better today.
• His countenance has also improved from yesterday.

The best part was that Valiant texted his own update tonight. I was pleasantly surprised and simply delighted to hear from him directly:
• Valiant asked that we continue to pray that he will recover fully with no complications.
