A new, experimental MicroG update has been released by xfileFIN on Vanced.app!

It‘s meant to address the login issues some of you guys have been facing.

If you faced issues logging into Vanced previously, please test it out (make sure you follow the instructions!) and report back with:

• Android version
• Chrome version
• Android System WebView version
• which MicroG version you used (if it worked)

And post in the XDA thread and/or group chat - both can be found in the pinned message.

New update to 14.21.54 has been released!

What's new?

- Casting in non-root variant fixed (armills' MicroG pull request)

- Home ads in landscape orientation removed

- Notifications partially fixed (user actions needed, check Vanced settings)

- Login fixed for new WebView (mar-v-in's MicroG update, the "press back button once" workaround no longer needed)

- Snazzy new logo (same as our group and channel icon!)

Things to note:

- You need MicroG v0.2.6.17455 for Vanced 14.21.54 and onwards (note that this only applies to non-root).

- Older MicroG versions will not work on 14.21.54 and above, newer MicroG versions will not work on 14.10.53 or lower.

- MicroG settings to get notifications to work is located in Vanced settings. Be sure to follow the instructions within to get notifications working.

Known issues:
(From Logan's XDA post)

- Force close (non-root): If you're having this issue, uninstall MicroG and Vanced. Then install MicroG first, and then install Vanced.

- Force close when opening cast menu (non-root): This is an issue with your Substratum theme. Grab a logcat and forward it to your theme dev.

- "Unable to connect" or "Connection error" (non-root): You're using the newer version of Vanced but you didn't update MicroG. So update MicroG.

- White splash screen: This issue is due to YouTube making the splash screen correspond to your system's dark mode flag. If you're using non-root, update to the May 30th build. For everyone else, wait for an update.

- Notifications not working (root variant, maybe non-root as well?): Not a Vanced issue, blame your system's battery optimization. Disable battery optimization for Vanced (instructions to do so for your specific OEM can be found on Google or dontkillmyapp.com)

Yes, it’s known that the site is down. The host found that the site was taking too many resources on his server, so he took it down for the time being. Use the official mirrors in the pinned message/XDA thread OP.

No, the app is not dead. It’s still being developed in private, but the devs have lives and there’s some issues with the Vanced mods in later YouTube version, so development is slow going. More info:

As you all know by now, vanced.app is down, due a number of reasons. So the devs have taken this opportunity to go ahead and rewrite the site to make it more modern + perform better.
