Maduro asks indigenous militiamen to be well armed to defend peace

Nicolás Maduro urged indigenous "militiamen" on Saturday to be "well armed" to defend "peace and coexistence" in the country, at an event to mark the 532nd anniversary of October 12.

"We have to consolidate the Bolivarian National Militia, the Indian militia. Indigenous militiamen and women, (…) well organized, disciplined and well armed to defend our land from any intruder who tries to come in and harm peace and coexistence." This is what Maduro said, via telephone contact.
🇧🇷🇻🇪 Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira said that a “deterioration or rupture” of diplomatic relations with Venezuela should not be expected, even if the electoral process in the neighboring country, which has been dragging on since the end of July, is not resolved.

MCM reiterates message to military: "Neither the CNE, the TSJ, nor Maduro, have shown evidence that they won"

Opposition leader María Corina Machado sent a message to members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) on Sunday, reiterating her request to “confront the real threats that exist” in the country.

“Everyone knows that the people of Venezuela defeated Maduro by a wide margin. We did so under very difficult conditions, facing persecution and arbitrary actions (…) After almost 3 months, neither the CNE, nor the TSJ, nor Maduro have been able to show a single proof that they won the election, because they lost it,” Machado’s statement reads.
