Petro's Council of Ministers became a scene of confrontation

For the first time, the president decided to broadcast the meeting on television and social media, so that citizens can "monitor, participate and decide" on administrative acts, but the only thing that was reflected were the internal fractures of his government.

Several officials, led by Vice President Francia Márquez, criticized Petro's decision to appoint former ambassador Armando Benedetti, accused of corruption, as chief of staff, as well as the excessive power of Foreign Minister Laura Sarabia, the president's right-hand woman.

And she added: "I don't like Laura Sarabia's attitude towards us, towards me, in this government, to the point where I have had to tell her, 'Respect me, I am the vice president.'"

Susana Muhamad, Minister of Environment, supported the official, as did the director of the Department for Social Prosperity (DPS), Gustavo Bolívar. "I have to say that neither foreign relations nor the current head of office are in the hands of this (progressive) project, they are in the hands of the complete opposite of this project... President, as a feminist and as a woman, I cannot sit at this cabinet table with Armando Benedetti."

🇻🇪🇺🇸United States confiscated a Maduro's government plane held in the Dominican Republic

The government of US President Donald Trump has seized a second plane belonging to the regime of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro that is currently in the Dominican Republic.

Rubio traveled to a military landing strip in the capital, Santo Domingo, where, in front of the cameras, a prosecutor from the Dominican Republic and a representative of the U.S. security forces together pasted a sign that said “seized” on the Dassault Falcon 200 plane with registration YV-3360 under the Venezuelan flag.

Completing the seizure required Rubio to sign a foreign aid freeze waiver request to pay more than $230,000 in storage and maintenance fees. It also required approval from the Justice Department.
