Maduro announces capture of two "terrorist" groups in Venezuela
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro announced Thursday that two terrorist groups have been captured in the past two weeks, and said that state security agencies are working to dismantle plans related to destabilization actions in the country.
"We are maintaining our plans. (Interior Minister) Diosdado Cabello has informed us that in the last 15 days we have captured two more terrorist groups," Maduro said.

The Colombian government confirmed this Sunday the release of two Colombian hostages who had been detained since January 6, when they were arrested by agents of the Maduro regime on the eve of the illegitimate swearing-in of Nicolás Maduro.
"The Colombian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is pleased to announce the release of two compatriots who have been detained in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela since January 6, 2025," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
After their release, the Colombian Embassy in Caracas identified the two citizens and helped them process their respective travel documents, "providing the corresponding assistance in terms of lodging, food and financial aid for the acquisition of basic hygiene items and clothing."
