🇻🇪🇬🇾Statements by Vice President Delcy Rodríguez regarding Guyana's claims,
1. “A country [like Guyana] claims to be the Constitution of Venezuela and asks the ICJ to repeal our Magna Carta. " It's barbaric. "
2. “There is no doubt about the dispossession. "The British Empire never had ownership of that territory."
3. “ It is a sign of desperation for Guyana to ask to repeal the Constitution ”
4. “What happened yesterday when Guyana asked the ICJ not to hold the referendum... on what basis?”
5. “The Venezuelan people have shown what they are willing to do to defend their Constitution. There are plenty of examples to demonstrate what we are willing to do. "Do not provoke Venezuela, we are heirs of liberators and a people of peace."
6. “In 1966, when the Geneva Agreement was signed , the ICJ discussion took place and there was no agreement ”
7. “Guyana didn't want it either and that's why it wasn't in the Geneva Agreement. You can only go to the ICJ if there is a mutual agreement ”
8. “The strategy of dispossession is similar to what we see in the Middle East (...) Guyana inherited a theft, a dispossession”
9. “They want to sow a conflict between Venezuela and Guyana. “Exxon Mobil took over that country ”
10. “Sooner or later they have to sit down with Venezuela. Now they decided to attack our migrants. It was an act of cowardice. "Let the attack against our migrants who are in Guyana or Essequibo end. "

🇻🇪🇺🇸🇨🇳S&P Global: more Venezuelan crude will flow to the US and less to China
Asia may have little to celebrate following the easing of sanctions on Venezuelan oil, according to new analysis from S&P Global Commodity Insights, as increased competition for those Latin American cargoes could make it difficult for buyers like China to source additional cargoes. coming from Venezuela.
That would lead China to look to the Middle East markets to fill the gap, explain S&P Global analysts.

🇻🇪🇬🇾 Maduro appoints Jorge Rodríguez as campaign manager for the Essequibo referendum
🇻🇪🇬🇾⚖️ Guyana asks the International Court of Justice to stop the referendum on the Essequibo:
Guyana asked the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to suspend a consultative referendum promoted by Venezuela on the Essequibo territory that both countries have disputed for more than a century, according to a statement from the highest UN court.
"Guyana presented to the Secretariat of the International Court of Justice a request for indication of provisional measures" to request that Venezuela "not proceed with the consultative referendum as proposed," the statement states.
The government of Guyana said hours later in a statement that the request responds to a "sinister plan by Venezuela to seize Guyanese territory," while Caracas called the action "barbarism."
"What Guyana has asked for is an outburst, asking Venezuela to repeal its constitutional order, which is not going to happen," launched the Venezuelan vice president, Delcy Rodríguez, in a statement to the press. "What happened (...) if it weren't so tragic, it would be laughable."
Guyana asked the ICJ, "due to the urgency of the matter", to set a hearing before the date of this consultation to make a determination.
