In hotrodding the use of acoustic longitudinal waves to provide compression of air volume and greater cylinder fill has been used since early 1930s to produce a great air displacement than a static model. In the 1980-90s at GM we used this knowledge to make a 305ci engine perform as well as a 350ci engine further modification from the mass production allowed tuners to make 30-40% gains in volumetric efficiency. Later Ford then asia produced similar designs in the great long runner engines of the day the characteristic howl of the intake on performance engines was due to the use of this technology. Luxury vehicles used this technology but also used noise suppression on the intake air filter assembles lowering effectiveness as much as 50%. Simply removing most of the plastic components of modern engines noise suppression systems can improve fuel and performance by 20-30% on average.

I have an engine originally from a 1995 Chevy Caprice Police car the base engine was 9:1 compression 350CI produced 275HP from factory at flywheel. By installing stronger pistons that come slightly higher in the cylinder it increased compression to 10.5 : 1 producing 320HP. By cutting the cylinder heads at an angle from 23 degrees to 18 degrees it reduced the compression chamber to 54 CC. Increasing compression to 11.5:1 increasing power to 375HP. By machining the intake ports to 220CC and porting the intake runners to lower the resonant frequency it lowered the torque band to 1500rpm from 2800rpm. Adding chromium silicon low tension low inertial mass valve springs and placing return springs on the lifters it raised the effective rpm range to 9000 rpm from a peek of 5800. The engine produces 600HP without a compressor or turbo. This engine sounds like a motorcycle engine rapidly increasing RPM.

On my wifes car we have a 3L Mitsubishi 24 valve engine with similar modifications from factory it produced 175HP now it produces a little over 300HP.

My 2002 Cadillac Seville has a 4.9L Northstar again similar modifications produces 575HP.

MY truck has Brodix 500CI Small Block Chevy with 750HP.

I consider that Satan could be our "local" god. Could offer Jesus the world because it was his to do so.

A distant creator God, impartial at the center of reality makes sense to me. Or even a dead God who died to create the universe, sort of the big bang but as a explosion of consciousness. God forms and then explodes, kinda thing.
