Honestly, Who and why would you farm wind here on the West Coast, knowing we are blessed each day with the Fremantle Doctor. 😕🙂
Farming more wind to blow more wind up there own asses. As a Mission Coordinator for the Coastwatch aircraft Dash8, I conducted ariel surveillance over that ocean during winter weather and it was a sea state of 9 to 10.
I witnessed a Bulk Carrier Merchant Vessel, 3 to 4 hundred meters long maybe more. There was at least 2 thirds of the ship pointing at the sky out of water.
So 2 to 300 hundred meters of ship out of the water pointing at the sky as it crested a wave.
The forward half then dropped downwards at a rate that would have had the crew at the rear helm, G Forced to the floor before being g-forced catapulted up to the roof and windscreen as the whole ship fitted and surfed downward the swell in monstrous mad fashion.
We were at 2000ft and the Captain agreed immediately with my mission order to ascend 5000ft. The waves still looked like they might grab us from the sky.
Now my memory is coming back, we were not on Dash 8. We were flying on the 406 Rheims fitted with SV1022 Radar.
