My name is James, I am a farmer and a builder and and a father of three. I am 30 years old and live a comfortable life, delivered by the combined hard work of myself and my family. I have had the pleasure of growing up in Ireland and witnessing it's economic growth from a relative economic backwater to a nation of perceived importance in the modern world. I am not an academic not a philosopher. I am an Irish man and a foolish one at that. I foolishly wonder each morning when I look at the abundant fields of green grass why the price of groceries is unattainable for some families. I foolishly wonder why when I see mountains filled with rocks and gravel why so many roads are in disrepair. I foolishly wonder why when off our coasts lie an abundance of natural resources why is it that energy is such a price. I foolishly wonder why when we live in an Island of beauty, music and tradition so many of my friends and family are turning to drink and drugs to numb their very existence. I foolishly wonder when I see the joy in my children's faces at the simplest acts of kindness why more is not done to help those who chose to rear children. I foolishly wonder why so many elderly people go from week to week without seeing another soul. I foolishly wonder why those in power seem so far removed from what most of us are going through. I foolishly wonder why we have turned on each other, why we bury our noses in phones and computers and don't stop to recognise each other's humanity. I foolishly wonder why the young people I have watched grow and be educated in this country can see no future. In my quiet times I must admit, I have contemplated a violent revolution. To stand before great crowds of people and dictate the new direction we must take. To take the old system and its overseers and cast them to the four winds. To run every globalist and every globalistic entity from these shores and reintroduce the Ireland of the past. However this is foolishness and folly of the highest degree. The real thing we must all do is forgive, we must realise that those in power wish to remain in power. That to violently pursue to overthrow them plays exactly into their hands. Soon the world will change, the consequences for economic and political cowardice by the west will be plain to be seen. Soon the currencies we now use will be defunct. Soon the systems on which we predominantly rely will fall under their own weight. Soon those wealthy enough will have abandoned this island for brighter shores. They will expect us to turn on each other, for the urban dweller to blame the rural dweller and vice versa. They expect us to blame the emigrants, the activists, the religions, the academics, the doctors, the scientists, the media and so on. Yes there is a great deal of blame to be dealt out but I wonder what end this will all achieve. Most of humanity operates out of self preservation and provision for those closest to them. We cannot all be heroes or criminals or revolutionary figures as if this was the case life itself would be a constant cycle of violence & anarchy. Ireland is the beating heart of the western world, it is from this place that the last remains of scholarship & philosophical thought were kept alive during the dark ages. It is from this place that the whole world saw an end to war with a peace process. It is from this place that the whole world sees a rural backwater transformed within decades to a modern state. We must show the powers that be that we fully understand the plan that they pursue.. that we know they wish to centralise power structures & have the general populace turn on each other without understanding. We know they wish to make basic necessities seem like unattainable luxuries. We know that they have paid agents across the world who seek to demoralise & destabilise the institutions of thought that once made our nation's great.
