Great weekend of back-to-back training and seminars.

This past weekend, the dedicated legionnaires of OPWW descended on Ulfheim for a weekend of comradery, instruction, violence and ritual.

From the kickoff to the close of Saturday night, I was proud to see everyone taking part in all of it with a smile on their face, making new acquaintances or seeing old friends again.

A huge thank you to our guests, especially those who fought for honor and entertainment, the musicians who provided a soundtrack to the night, and all those who made a commitment and followed through with it.

There wasn’t a lot of video, as everyone was busy having a good time and interacting fully present, but here’s a brief clip of some of the day and evening.

The Koryos is the way forward. It creates hierarchies of men and their families, where older men serve as mentors and trainers, and younger men compete, train, and harden themselves together, on land they collectively own or labor to sustain.

It stands as an antidote to a world drifting toward despair and aimlessness. When a group is unified in the pursuit of physical and mental excellence, bound by shared hardship, disciplined training, and the continual overcoming of limits, they become immune to the decadence of the world.

Through fight sports, strength training, and engagement with the great works of literature and the classics, the conditions for greatness are set.

It might seem brutal to some, but a few bloody noses and learning to give and take a punch builds the kind of resilience and grit that makes everything else in life easier.
