The truth is, this world has always belonged to the devil.

That’s the biggest mistake we’ve made, pretending otherwise. We’ve lived in denial for millennia, but Scripture makes it clear: when the devil tempted Jesus in the desert, he offered Him the kingdoms of this world, he could only offer what was his to give. And notice how Jesus did not correct him, He did not say, “These kingdoms are not yours.” because Jesus knew who owned the world.

The devil’s greatest trick is not convincing you to follow him, but erasing God so completely that you never notice whose kingdom you are in. Remember, the kingdom of God is within us, not outside of us.

We need to get past the cognitive dissonance of not wanting to accept this truth, for only when we see it clearly can we stand a chance of fighting evil.

The way out is not through the mundane spectacle of politics, the only way out is spiritually. It is transcending the devil’s kingdom, through Jesus Christ; the only light capable of piercing this darkness.
