The Resistance team has decided to reduce its total hard cap to USD 6.8M. 42% of all tokens issued will be sold in the private sale, as before, but there will now be no public sale. Instead, 8% of the total tokens issued will be sold in an Initial Exchange Offering - we are going to apply to Binance Launchpad and other exchanges of interest to launch this in Q2 2019.
We also want to allocate more resources to further foster growth in the privacy community, funding researchers, projects, and partners. For this, we will now be dedicating 15% of total token supply.
The main reason for our decision to alter our hard cap and token distribution model is the need to adapt to current market conditions and, in turn, current cryptocurrency prices. In light of the devaluation of the market and rethinking our efforts, Resistance has been required to review its hard cap in order to adjust to the market. But we also see great value in helping other privacy communities.
Alongside the 15% of total tokens issued dedicated to the ecosystem fund, we will also be dedicating 15% of our exchange fees to support one privacy project, voted for by the community.
In light of our recent successes, like our Huobi partnership (https://www.prnewswire.com/ae/news-releases/resistance-partners-with-huobi-mena-to-solve-decentralized-exchange-liquidity-issues-824167616.html) and Davos Blockchain Competition (https://news.1rj.ru/str/resistanceplatformann/15) win, our new private sale cap corresponds with what we believe we can comfortably raise.
