Paul Mango, an integral part of the Trump administration’s drive to invent coronavirus vaccines and treatments, has died at 65.

Mango joined former President Trump’s Health and Human Services Department in 2019 as deputy chief of staff. During the Covid-19 pandemic, he became the agency’s chief liaison to Operation Warp Speed, the record-breaking effort to develop new vaccines and medicines to counter the coronavirus pandemic.

He published a memoir about those months, “Warp Speed: Inside the Operation That Beat COVID, the Critics, and the Odds,” in 2022. In the book he lauded Moderna’s cooperation with the government in developing clinical trials and delivering millions of doses.

The cause of death has not been disclosed.

Bill Gates has discussed with US President-elect Donald Trump how lessons from the Covid-19 pandemic could be used to “accelerate innovation” in addressing other global health challenges.

The billionaire Microsoft founder and global healthcare advocate described his recent three-hour dinner with Trump as “long and actually quite intriguing.”

Reflecting on Trump’s role during the Covid pandemic, Gates recalled how he had “accelerated the vaccine innovation,” and urged Trump to take a similar approach with the HIV cure that the Gates Foundation is actively working on.

Former BlackRock fund manager Edward Dowd commented on the "Great Replacement theory" in a conversation with Shannon Joy.

Knesset passes law criminalising denial or support for events of 7 October 2023

The legislation, proposed by Yisrael Beiteinu MK, Oded Forer, was approved in its final reading yesterday by a vote of 16-0, reported the Times of Israel.

Modeled on Israel’s 1986 Holocaust denial law, it states that any individual who verbally or in writing denies the events on 7 October, intending to defend or show sympathy for Hamas or its affiliates, could face up to five years in prison.

Israel and its allies have been found to have fabricated “facts” about 7 October, including spreading an assertion that babies were beheaded on that day. A story that was found to be false. While reports that women had been raped by members of the Palestinian resistance have – to date, not been backed by evidence.

Some 1,200 lives were lost on 7 October and another 250 were taken captive in Gaza. However, since then it has been revealed by Haaretz that helicopters and tanks of the Israeli army had, in fact, killed many of the 1,139 soldiers and civilians claimed by Israel to have been killed by the Palestinian resistance.
