Jen Psaki reveals how fake U.S. government concern about human rights can be, describing how hours-long meetings would often spend 5 minutes on human rights just so they could say they did in the public readout.

JEN PSAKI:   "I worked at the State Department for a couple of years and you'd go to meetings and you would do a readout of the meeting. And oftentimes it was like, oh, we have to mention that we raised human rights, and the human rights mention would have been five seconds of a two hour meeting."

It was a memorable moment at the Security Conference in Munich when US Vice President J. D. Vance, in the course of a twenty-minute speech, shook the Western house of cards, telling shocked "allies" that their suppression of free speech and their dictatorial methods are tearing the ground from under the values their security policies are supposed to defend.

He did not spend so much as a full sentence talking about the war in Ukraine, but merely informed the assembly that "the Trump administration believes it will be able to reach a reasonable settlement with Russia on Ukraine."
