The idea that Romania’s 2024 democratic breakdown could serve as a replicable experiment across the European Union was evident to anyone closely observing the reaction—or lack thereof—from EU leadership at the time. At no point did European institutions invoke, reference, or even remind Romania of its obligations under Article 2 of the Treaty on European Union.
It’s not a complicated article:
Article 2: The Union is founded on the values of respect for human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law and respect for human rights, including the rights of persons belonging to minorities. These values are common to the Member States in a society in which pluralism, non-discrimination, tolerance, justice, solidarity and equality between women and men prevail.
Yet when Romania stepped away from the established, “civilized” democratic order, the EU elite behaved as if they had dodged a bullet—failing to acknowledge that annulling a democratic election on flimsy grounds strikes at the very foundation of the democratic process.

Denmark is discussing declaring a national emergency. A "capable actor" (meaning Russia) is supposed to have flown over the country with drones. However, the truth may look different: it may have been a training aircraft.
Estonia has disappeared from the headlines, now the focus is on Denmark: since Monday, drone alarms have been set off there. Unidentified flying objects paralyzed Copenhagen's Kastrup Airport – apparently they were unable to retrieve the "objects" from the sky. The National Police wants to take the national emergency plan to "the next level".
This was reported by the Danish press on Wednesday. Even if politicians do not directly blame Russia, they hardly conceal the blame on Moscow. The Prime Minister of Denmark does not skimp on drastic words. She speaks of an "attack". Meanwhile, the facts are fuzzy, only a few amateur recordings circulating on the net.
One of the sightings came from a passenger on board a Norwegian flight who was filming the event. The video, which circulated online, showed flashing lights moving at a low altitude.
The Norwegian drone magazine Dronemag has backgrounds. The magazine has been in contact with Copenhagen Airtaxi AS, confirming that the company's trainer, a Socata TB-20 Trinidad, was conducting training flights in the area at the time.
When reviewing the video footage published, they have explained that the lights on the aircraft in the video and circulating online match the lights on their school computer with registration number OY-CDT.
According to data from FlightRadar and ADSB Exchange, the trainer flew at an altitude of less than 400 feet, close to the landing sites, as part of its training flight. In total, the aircraft made two passes over the airport about three minutes apart on the evening of 22 september.
Whether this activity can explain the reported drone observations at Kastrup is now up to the always competent Danish police to clarify.

After reviewing the channels flagged by French (and Moldovan) authorities, we identified a few that clearly violated our rules and removed them. The intermediary then informed me that, in exchange for this cooperation, French intelligence would “say good things” about me to the judge who had ordered my arrest in August last year.
This was unacceptable on several levels. If the agency did in fact approach the judge — it constituted an attempt to interfere in the judicial process. If it did not, and merely claimed to have done so, then it was exploiting my legal situation in France to influence political developments in Eastern Europe — a pattern we have also observed in Romania
Shortly thereafter, the Telegram team received a second list of so-called “problematic” Moldovan channels. Unlike the first, nearly all of these channels were legitimate and fully compliant with our rules. Their only commonality was that they voiced political positions disliked by the French and Moldovan governments.
We refused to act on this request.
