I can’t believe Chris Bowen thinks this is cheap. If it costs $5 billion to have backup energy for a million homes, then it would cost around $60 billion for the 12 million homes in Australia.

And that’s just the housing sector, not the industry or transport sector.

And let’s not forget these batteries would be lucky to have 4 hours of storage. Not only that you need double capacity because as one battery is draining another one needs to be charging.

And don’t forget these batteries will last 8 years if that. And not one of them actually create any energy.
