As Peter Ridd points out, when the reef was doing badly, AIMS was happy to combine the data on the whole reef, so we could lament its demise. But lately AIMS splits it into separate sections and if Peter Ridd didn’t check the numbers, who would know it was a record across the full 2,300 kilometer length of the reef? And that may be exactly the point.

As Ridd reminds us, in 2012 the AIMS team predicted the coral cover in the central and southern regions would decline to 5 – 10 percent cover by 2022. Instead the whole reef is thriving at 30 percent.

You should hand your licence back. Snake oil salesman!" This manipulation paints a falsely sanitized narrative, blatantly ignoring the valid discontent and vocal opposition from the public.

I'm gonna give it 3 months as that's likely when further price hikes and food shortages kick in. I'm also getting a feeling of some major revelation around finances and corruption. I can't say why. On June 30, Zhang Zhijie, who was described as an “outstanding” 17-year-old badminton player from China suddenly collapsed and died during a match at the Asia Junior Championships in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Those present were so stunned by the spectacle that the Chinese coaching staff had to wait for a palpable moment — which seemed like eternity — before getting the referee’s permission to attend to the collapsed player.

The teenager was subsequently rushed to the nearest hospital where he died after repeated attempts at resuscitating him failed. An initial examination revealed that Zhang had succumbed to “sudden cardiac arrest”.

There were hardly any damage-limitation narratives to explain away Zhang’s shocking demise as the world is currently beset by a sudden surge in deaths among toddlers, teenagers and young professional athletes.

Zhang’s case is especially noteworthy as he would have been injected with the so-called “safe and effective” Chinese vaccines which are not based on mRNA technology.

July 1st marked the 10th anniversary of a brutal resumption of hostilities in the Donbass civil war.

In the days prior to the April 2014 launch of Kiev’s “anti-terrorist operation” in Donbass, notorious war hawk Samantha Power, now USAID chief, openly spoke on ABC of “tell-tale signs of Moscow’s involvement” in the unrest. “It’s professional, coordinated. Nothing grassroots about it,” she alleged. Such framing gave Ukrainian officials, their foreign backers, and the mainstream media licence to brand the brutal operation a legitimate response to a fully-fledged, if unacknowledged, “invasion” by Russia. It is referred to as such in many quarters today.

Yet, at every stage of the Donbass conflict, there were unambiguous indications that the Ukrainian government’s claims of widespread Russian involvement - endorsed by Western governments, militaries, intelligence agencies, pundits and journalists - were fraudulent. One need look no further than the findings of a 2019 report published by the George Soros-funded International Crisis Group (ICG), Rebels Without A Cause. Completely unremarked upon in the mainstream, its headline conclusions are stark:
