Final Setup Arch + Hyprland
Should I use blackArch.png?
Finally I can say that I actually use arch btw
Day before yesterday I broke my arch
And my drive hot corrupted and I lost sudo access on my Fedora
However, I managed to recover Sudo in Fedora by editing grub and force booting into emergency shell and re-config all sudo files and relabelling SELinux, but I unfortunately my basic drivers got unmanaged and I couldn’t able to fix that shit.
Since, androids have a feature called USB tethering in Portable/Personal Hotspot section. Now, as I said that I was afraid of fixing my drivers (WiFi, Bluetooth, etc) so, I decided to reinstall Arch
I downloaded mounted into ventoy and started Live ISO
Here, I tried to fix my / (root) partition but I was unable to do it as corruption was too much, I tried to backup my data luckily I managed to get my data but my all Hyprland Configs got bombed and I lost my Hyprland.
As I got that it was over I said let’s reinstall Arch, I thought to do Arch Install (Manual Edition)
As while fixing my system I broke Arch Install
So, now I started by deleting my partition’s using
I didn’t wiped my Fedora / (root) because I mounted my backup there.
After that I created and formatted my partitions
This time I used this layout
4 - Partition - Layout
1. EFI Partition - 1 GB
2. Boot Partition - 1 GB
3. Home Partition - 100 GB
4 Root Partition- 30 GB
I formatted them EFI to FAT32 by using
I formatted all my /boot, / and /home to ext4 format.
Then I mounted them to /mnt, /mnt/boot, /mnt/efi and /mnt/home
And it was quite easy
After this I installed essential packages like Linux, sudo, etc. Using
And then I installed essential personal packages using
Now, it was time for
I did and exited chroot and simple rebooted and bomb we’re back into arch
This time I used sddm as my Display Manager
And now we’re in I took important files from Fedora partition and bombed that too.
So, this is how I can confirm that I actually use arch btw.
Manual way was way more easier and efficient than
