Incredible radar animation shows Hurricane Ida's movements across the US - from the moment it reached Louisiana on Sunday until its arrival in New York and the Northeast on Wednesday night.

The flash flooding in NY and New Jersey has now claimed the lives of at least 41 people.

New Orleanians who fled their homes ahead of Hurricane Ida, later tried to return to salvage keepsakes and mementoes and met FEMA along highway 610, just south of Lake Pontchartrain.

Dennis Farrell and his son spotted the roadblock. They had heard other Ida refugees discussing the looting and were heading to their home to recover some valuables.

According to Farrell, FEMA stopped them and demanded he and his son exit the vehicle. “They weren’t concerned for our safety. First thing they asked was if we had gotten the Covid-19 shot, and to show our vaccination cards.”

When they admitted they had not been vaccinated, the FEMA agents became combative, saying they were “putting their friends and family at risk" and their "stupidity was a comorbidity."

“They told me they weren’t letting people back without proof of the shot or getting the shot right then and there," so Farrell and his son turned around and headed back to the hotel instead. Did anyone here have a similar experience? [ Source ]
