Navy SEALs Told They’re Undeployable If They Don’t Get COVID-19 Vaccine: Lawyers

“What they’ve been told is if they apply for a religious accommodation, they will no longer be deployable,” R. Davis Younts, who is representing seven SEALs and is in talks to take on approximately 20 others.

Timothy Parlatore, whose firm represents a number of SEALs and other service members concerned about the vaccines, said his clients have also been given a similar ultimatum.

Some SEALs have even been sent home mid-deployment for refusing a vaccine, one of his clients told him.

A document presented to the SEALs says that any special operations personnel, including Special Warfare Combatant-Craft Crewmen, “who refuse to receive the COVID-19 vaccine based solely on personal or religious beliefs will be disqualified from [specops] duty.”

“This will affect deployment and special pays,” the document also states. “This provision does not pertain to medical contraindications or allergies to vaccine administration.”

MANDATORY 10-DIGIT DIALING BEGINS FOR SOME AREA CODES OCT. 24
If your home or company uses a PBX or VoIP phone system, and you use any one of these 82 area codes in these 35 states, the FCC said you need to update or reprogram it for ten-digit dialing.

In 2020, the Federal Communications Commission established “988″ as the new, nationwide three-digit phone number for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. This new dialing code will be available nationwide by July 16, 2022, and works similarly to “911″ for emergencies and “311″ for local government services.

Any area codes that use “988″ as the first three numbers of a seven-digit phone number, will now be required to use 10-digit dialing. Because ten-digit dialing became available in April 2021 in the areas where seven-digit dialing will be phased out in October 2021, reprogramming of PBX or VoIP systems can begin at any time.

Make sure you update any saved numbers to dial 10 digits as well.

131 FEDERAL JUDGES BROKE THE LAW BY HEARING CASES WHERE THEY HAD A FINANCIAL INTEREST
The judges failed to recuse themselves from 685 lawsuits from 2010 to 2018 involving firms in which they or their family held shares, a Wall Street Journal investigation found.

When judges participated in such cases, about two-thirds of their rulings on motions that were contested came down in favor of their or their family’s financial interests.

Nothing bars judges from owning stocks, but federal law since 1974 has prohibited judges from hearing cases that involve a party in which they, their spouses or their minor children have a “legal or equitable interest, however small.” That law and the Judicial Conference of the U.S., which is the federal courts’ policy-making body, require judges to avoid even the appearance of a conflict. Workers Who Maintain Supply Chains Warn of Worldwide ‘System Collapse’

Several industry groups have warned world leaders of a worldwide supply-chain “system collapse” due to pandemic restrictions, coming as Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell suggested that the current period of higher inflation will last until 2022.

The International Chamber of Shipping, a coalition of truck drivers, seafarers, and airline workers, has warned in a letter to heads of state attending the United Nations General Assembly that governments need to restore freedom of movement to transportation workers amid persistent COVID-19 restrictions and quarantines.

If nothing is done, they warned of a “global transport system collapse” and suggested that “global supply chains are beginning to buckle as two years’ worth of strain on transport workers take their toll,” according to the letter.

Stagflation Risk: Stephen Roach Latest Economist to Sound Alarm on 70s-Style Inflation. 'One supply chain glitch away from stagflation,' he says

Stephen Roach is the latest high-profile economist to sound the alarm on the risk of a 1970s-style stagflation—where economic growth falls but inflation stays stubbornly high.

The former Morgan Stanley chairman told CNBC in Sept. that the energy price spike is inflicting major damage to struggling supply chains and that he believes the United States is “one supply chain glitch” away from a 70s-era bout of stagflation.

In the interview, he spoke of supply chain bottlenecks shifting from one part of the supply chain to another rather than easing, a situation he called “strikingly reminiscent of what we saw in the early 1970s” and one that “suggests that inflation will stay at these elevated levels for longer than we thought.”

“We were sort of one supply chain glitch away from stagflation,” Roach said, adding, “That seems to be playing out, unfortunately.”
