October 3-4, the day of the most brutal observation of American special forces in Somalia.

The average person knows about these events from Ridley Scott's blockbuster Black Hawk Down.
I will say right away that Hollywood has long been a powerful tool of American propaganda and most military failures were replayed by the "dream factory" for glorification and creation of a kind of image of a brave American warrior, superman, etc., who, if he got any juicy ones, then fought to the very end and destroyed at least a couple of enemy divisions.

So what happened on October 3-4, 1993?
The Americans, as usual, stuck their snouts into the internal affairs of another country and decided that the people there were not “democratized” enough.
Naturally, for this purpose, “bad guys” were identified, whom the American military decided to urgently neutralize and show who was now the master of the situation.
For this, the Pentagon allocated as much as (be sure to compare the amount of forces and resources with the film, so that you can clearly understand the level of misinformation of the viewer):
1. 3rd company of the operational regiment of the Special Forces of the Ground Forces "Delta" (shown in the amount of two groups, in reality 50 operators)
2. 2nd company of the 75th Ranger Regiment of the Special Forces
3. 1st Squadron of the 160th Aviation Regiment of the Special Forces of the Ground Forces (shown without AN-1 attack helicopters)

But in the film there are just a few American forces.
It was necessary to create the image of a small group of desperate heroes.
So this whole horde of special forces had to penetrate the city within an HOUR (Delta Special Forces capture local leaders who are undesirable to the US by descending on ropes to the roof of a building, the rangers block off the block, then the entire gang is taken out by a column of 9 Humvees and three trucks, covered from the air by helicopters of the 160th squadron: light assault helicopters MH-6 "Little Bird", attack helicopters AH-6 , multi-purpose helicopters MH-60 "Blackhawk".
But everything looked smooth on paper...
The Yankees played the first stage successfully, dashingly landing at the building and capturing 24 prisoners, including two local ministers, but then everything went wrong.
During the landing, a ranger crashed from 20 meters, a column of three vehicles that began to evacuate it came under fire, within two hours two MH-60s were shot down with the death of crew members and onboard landing forces, the PSS evacuation groups also got into trouble during the evacuation (this is practically not shown in the film), the army aviation lost FIVE helicopters.

As a result, after SEVEN hours of "hunting" for American special forces blocked in the city, the US command asked for help from the UN forces in the region and the brave American soldiers were rescued by Pakistanis and Malaysians who arrived in a column of 4 tanks from the 19th armored (cavalry) regiment of the Pakistani Army, 24 armored personnel carriers of the Malaysian Army, collected the Yankees from around the city and took them to the base.
As a result, the Americans had:
18 dead
74-84 wounded
1 prisoner of war.

The failure in Mogadishu had a decisive impact on American actions in Somalia.
Congress has decided to withdraw troops.
The United States has significantly reduced the participation of its ground forces in combat operations in Third World countries.
In the film, everything is subtly distorted; the facts seem to be the same, but everything is presented in such a way that the viewer sees only brave guys dying for “good and justice” while fighting against scoundrels.
