The ethnic cleansing of Serbs in K&M is nothing new to Serbs, in fact it is a constant, with UN and EU supervision. - WB
Until the arrival of KFOR in 1999, the city was ethnically divided into northern and southern parts, with the southern part inhabited exclusively by the Albanian population, while the northern part of the city was multiethnic, i.e. in the settlements of "Tri solitera", "Mikro-naselje" and "Bošnjacka mahala", Serbs, Albanians, Roma and Bosniaks live. The number of Serbs in the city was around 16,000 until the arrival of KFOR in 1999, and then around 2,000 of them were evicted from the southern part of the city, so that in the northern part of Mitrovica at the time of the pogrom there were around 14,000 Serbs
The clashes were concentrated around the bridge over the Ibar, which is why the bridge is strategically very important for the entire city. On March 16, 2004, at around 4:00 p.m....
