🧿 As you may know, depending on how long you have been here, I grew up in Kuwait, and lived there for a total of 25ish years over my lifetime.

Here are two Americans discovering the heat in Kuwait, and I am pretty sure this is not midsummer.

I've seen tapes melt in the deck and bend if they are left hanging out of the radio; and yes, before you ask, you can fry eggs on the pavement.

The real shock is the nighttime temperatures, especially if you come land in the summer, get out of the airplane at 2am and get blasted by 45+ degree hot winds for the four steps before you enter the jet bridge to the [airconditioned] airport building.

Also, sand, dust storms, etc..

🧿 This time, drones, "Liftoff" in 30 minutes, 8 minute flight. 😎

🧿 Soviet Russian Bear and Drago Bosnic are back for another flight, this time in the "Liftoff" drone racing simulator used for training by the ukrops.

Significantly shorter than usual, another WB Flies - recorded well over a month ago - this time we fly around a construction site in the virtual desert.

During the flight we discuss Drago's experience of flying drones; the distinction between an 'FPV drone pilot' and a 'drone operator', and I give my takes on how it was to fly in the old days when the main goal was obstacle avoidance, having been an FPV pilot for 10 years.

🧿 That one time... in Kuwait (not in band camp, but close to 'Arifjan' camp and the refineries in this picture), when a friend lent me his caravan to go fly my new drone, charge on the move and sleep in the desert so as to film most of Kuwait in a weekend.

I really should start recording those 'Tales' I keep mentioning.. I have footage from this era too 😉.
