Story time: Everything that my father in law owned that was diesel had a shut off string. The shutoff solenoid would fail and he'd tie a string or wire to it and pull it to shut off the engine. He just called it the "kubota string". Massey Furgeson tractor, kubota front deck mower.... everything diesel. So one day he's showing me a war eagle jon boat he just bought. He showed me everything on it... even how the retractable trolling motor worked. So at the end, I asked "so where's the kubota string?" with a smile. It took him a second... i could see the wheels turning and he snatched the dead man lanyard and said "there's your kubota string".
