I'm on a rant... a nation in decline. My dad was a trucker... he hated when CDL came along because he said we'd push the experienced drivers out and be left with a bunch of steering wheel holders. Turns out he wasn't quite right.... but wages pushed us to steering wheel holders. So there was another truck wreck this weekend in TX. Friday I saw a trucker tailgating a car on surface streets. The caliber of people they hire has gone to shit.

I was flying 4 days a week in my last job and started to see chinks in the armor of airlines. An entire row of seats taped off for maint, overhead luggage bins duct taped up and tagged out of service. Overhearing conversations of pilots on the shuttle busses. I'm sure 1000 things I couldn't see.

I've watched the paper industry go from 100% competent guys to slack ass blacks who don't give a shit if the machine runs or not. I'm watching the safety people on site trying to outthink the slack asses who don't pay attention. stupid shit like pushing 40' long core carts in the basement with a forklift and not tying it to the forks so when you stop the cart keeps going... and going... and hits something.

Anyway, with trucking people are starting to die.
