First developed in the 1960’s, the OTO Melara 76 Italian naval autocannon is capable of firing a 76 mm, 14 lb projectile at a rate of up to 120 rounds per minute. The new ‘VULCANO’ ammunition system can hit targets at a range of 25 miles.

It can be used in anti-ship, anti-air, and anti-missile environments, even firing a guided projectile to intercept maneuvering targets.
