Guys, google the 30x30 initiative. TLDR: There is federal funding available for police departments that have 30% female officers by 2030.

What's not to like about free money?

Let me lay this out for you.... you are an honest cop and end up working with a female officer. She hesitates tasing someone and you end up having to shoot and kill a bad guy. Or she ends up getting her ass kicked and is not able to back you up. Or your wife says you are spending 8 hours a day with another woman and thinks you are screwing her. OR you make some silly / stupid / dirty comment and she files a grievance against you and you lose your job. I just can't see an upside to this.

Unless of course you want to eviscerate the police ranks just like you just did with the military.
