Statement Issued by the Internal Security Forces – Aleppo
One of our forces’ checkpoints in the vicinity of Al-Sheihan Roundabout in Aleppo was targeted by two rocket-propelled grenades (RPG-7), fired by factions affiliated with the Damascus government, resulting in heightened tension in the surrounding area.
In response to this attack, our forces carried out a limited response strictly within the framework of the legitimate right to self-defense. At the same time, they reaffirm their commitment to restraint and continue to conduct the necessary communications with the relevant parties to contain the situation and prevent any escalation.

People demand federalism. The answer of the Syrian regime is violence
Huge demonstrations are taking place in the Latakia & Tartus region, both mostly inhabited by Alawites. While demonstrating unarmed for a federal system in Syria, they were attacked by government troops. Reports from the ground indicate that people were injured and killed.
It is not the first time Alawites are facing oppression,violence and execution under the new Syria regime. Between March 7th and 9th almost 1,500 were killed.Instead of finding solutions for the people to live peaceful together in the colourful mosaic of Syria the chaos is increasing under the New Syrian regime.
