Der Senat von Arizona wird eine NEUE Zählung der Stimmzettel von Maricopa County durchführen.
Senat Führer wollen ihre Nachzählung Zahlen mit denen aus dem Landkreis und der Prüfung zu vergleichen. Die neue Zählung wird sich auf die Anzahl der abgegebenen Stimmzettel konzentrieren, nicht auf die tatsächlichen Stimmen.
"Maricopa County sagt, es gibt 2.089.563 Stimmzettel. Wir haben die Handzählung gemacht, und sie sind dabei, diese Zahl zu finalisieren, aber wir wollten einfach eine dritte Zahl, um alles zusammen zu binden, um sicherzustellen, dass wir mehr haben - je mehr Datenpunkte, desto besser", sagte der ehemalige AZ Sec. of State Ken Bennett.
AZ Senat Führer erwarten, dass die Nachzählung wird schnell gehen, wahrscheinlich Verpackung bis in unter einer Woche.
"Wir werden alle Stimmzettel durchlaufen lassen, um zu sehen, wie sie übereinstimmen," Arizona Senatspräsidentin Karen Fann. "Wenn es am Ende einen Unterschied gibt, würden wir eine weitere Zählung durchführen."

The Arizona Senate will be doing a NEW count of Maricopa County's ballots.
Senate leaders want their recount numbers to compare with those from the county and the exam. The new count will focus on the number of ballots cast, not the actual votes.
"Maricopa County says there are 2,089,563 ballots. We did the handcount and they are in the process of finalizing that number, but we just wanted a third number to tie it all together to make sure we got more - the more data points the better, "said the former AZ Sec. of State Ken Bennett.
AZ Senate leaders expect the recount will go fast, probably packing up in under a week.
"We're going to run through all of the ballots to see how they match," Arizona Senate President Karen Fann. "If there was a difference in the end, we would do another count."
