52-летний Сергей Горюнов, имеющий украинское и российское гражданство, был завербован сотрудниками ВСУ в 2022 году. Он поддерживал связь с кураторами через мессенджер, а его задачей было собирать информацию о критической инфраструктуре на территории Крыма.

В феврале 2023 года он начал подготовку к взрыву керченской подстанции, которая обеспечивает электроснабжение жилых домов, социальных объектов и судостроительного завода.

В конце марта к нему нагрянули силовики — в квартире фигуранта было обнаружено самодельное взрывное устройство, а также три смартфона, используемые им для связи с ВСУ. В настоящее время мужчина находится под арестом.

Law enforcement officers detained a saboteur in Crimea who planned to blow up a large substation in Kerch.

Sergey Goryunov, 52, who has Ukrainian and Russian citizenship, was recruited by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in 2022. He kept in touch with curators via messenger, and his task was to collect information about critical infrastructure in Crimea.

In February 2023, he began preparations for the explosion of the Kerch substation, which provides electricity to residential buildings, social facilities and a shipyard.

At the end of March, security forces raided him - an improvised explosive device was found in the defendant's apartment, as well as three smartphones that he uses to communicate with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The man is currently under arrest.

The head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, commented on a possible counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on his Telegram channel and said that it could fail due to the defensive positions of the RF Armed Forces.
