US Kills ISIS Leader In Syria — Officials
According to US military officials, a senior ISIS leader was killed early Monday morning by a US helicopter raid in Syria, with two other individuals also taken out.
Col. Joe Buccino did not confirm the identity of the ISIS leader and the location of the strike to CNN, but local reports suggest the raid occurred near Jarabalus near the Turkish border.
The raid follows another from April 8 in which an ISIS attack facilitator was reportedly captured. “Operations such as this reaffirms our commitment to the enduring defeat of ISIS,” said Buccino.
