This is the position of the Prime Ministers of the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia, which they expressed in a common article Foreign Affairs.

They call on NATO at the next summit in Vilnius to clearly define Ukraine's path to the Alliance - when and if Kyiv wants, and when certain conditions are met for this.

In their opinion, if Ukraine does not receive security guarantees before joining, then the country "will not have any investment and sustainable recovery if it is not able to protect itself from the forthcoming aggression."

“Now is the time for the Alliance to chart a clear and secure path to Ukrainian membership, if and when Kyiv wishes and when conditions permit. By that time, we should be ready to provide security guarantees, apart from political assurances that will not allow Ukraine to become a "gray zone" once and for all, the prime ministers wrote.
