Playlist Archiving Method

On the thread through which I encountered this subreddit, someone asked:

I gave an answer there which is how I would archive Youtube video in general. If someone knows a better way, feel free to describe it. I prefer Youtube-dl over anything else I know of, so I thought I would give an example

I said:

So, you would just keep a folder for a Youtube playlist (which can just be your own collection of LikelyToBeRemoved video.) The archive file in that folder would keep track of what not to download, so you just rerun your command whenever the playlist has anything added.

I know this isn’t YouTube related, but this extends to the whole sub, thank you guys for transcending the one sided political hole that reddit has become, thank you all for not making this sub into “my side is the only side”, even when I’m looking at some posts that are a little more politically sensitive, I see people with actual opinions, and not left/right bandwagon.

Hey guys I’m looking on doing a video essay about YouTube and was hoping you guys could tell me some problems with them.

Like the noscript says I’m gonna make a video essay about the problems of YouTube and wanted help compiling all the issues. I know basic ones and there’s probably some I’ll forget so I was hoping you guys could help.
