2019 - August: JG Science was demonetised for months and wasn't notified why until recently. He was demonetised for repetitive content, but he had nothing repetitive, and called out other channels that repeated content that got away with it.

2019 October - Youtube falsely flagging channels based on an automatically-added restream.io branding link in the denoscription

* Restream.io automatically adds their branding in the denoscription (unless you upgrade to a paid package that costs $41 a month.)
* Youtube started falsely flagging videos today because of that link, and it is resulting in strikes for some people, even though it is out of their control.
* Restream support (on twitter) has said if it does result in a strike, you can appeal it and it should get removed for not violating any community guidelines.

2019 October - FairTube says they canceled a meeting with Google/YouTube because Google/YouTube refused to have the YouTubers Union at the meeting.

So... Yeah.

Although, as tempting as it is to blast YouTube for it’s treatment of smaller creators, doing so will not get us anywhere by itself.

Therefore, i have a better idea: let’s come up with ideas of alternatives for YouTube so smaller creators can make backups of their videos there and continue their work without having deal with any potential issues with YouTube.

Any suggestions?
