This week we've got two amazing interviews. Today I will be interviewed by Ryan Cristián, Founder & Editor of The Last America Vagabond. We're going to talk about new solutions in the mobile privacy space, especially the above.phone - there may be a live tech demo ;)
Tomorrow I will be interviewing the CEO of Beechat Network, a company that is pioneering free & open peer-to-peer solutions for radio communications.
Later this week, the official tech demo for the above.phone will be released!
I'll leave Friday for the Activation Tour, joining Derrick Broze and Miriam Gomez of The Conscious Resistance Network in talks and good works across the Eastern US.

But we're not stopping here - we're going to replace every abusive software service we've become accustomed to with a privacy friendly alternative.
Part of this effort will be creating a dashboard or hub for people to see their services, manage their accounts, and top up their subnoscriptions using traditional methods or cryptocurrencies.
Are you a developer who wants to help build this? We're looking to put together a team of full-stack developers with experience in the following areas:

- Front End Design & Development

This past week we attended FloteFest in Gause, TX - a festival where everyone is free to offer & trade whatever their heart desires. This marked several firsts for Above Phone, including a large sponsorship, full booth setup, raffle, and hands-on workshop! We also were able to squeeze in a Linux install done at our booth.

Preliminary Observations about Phones & EMF
My dear nodes,
Yesterday we began the exploration stage of our EMF study! The experience was incredibly helpful, it helped us reflect on the questions we wanted to answer:
- How much EMF is generated by mobile devices (among other sources)?
- What is the safest way to use a phone?
We took measurements of EMFs across a few devices and activities, trying to keep our tests standardized. Although we realized our data needs to be far more structured before publishing any conclusions, one thing was obvious.
Using the phones with the radio/WiFi disabled and Ethernet connected using an adapter minimized any EMF readings from the phone.
Seems obvious, but it gives us the reinforcement that there is indeed a way to use technology while mitigating exposure to potential threats.
Let's have our cake & eat it too.
